The colors in this palette were used throughout the console to ensure consistency of look and feel. The pale blues matches the blue currently used as the main color in the IDE. The teal and violet colors are closely related, but different enough to create interest. The blues, teals, grays and violets were used for colors in form elements, nav bars, page backgrounds, and banners. The yellows and reds were reserved for emphasis, such as warning text or mouseovers.
The icons in the console use a much more intense set of colors, for visibility and to break up monotony in the page.
