Created interfaces for award-winning BEA products including Workflow, WebLogic Server, and WebLogic Portal. Created the HTML, CSS, and graphics templates that engineers used to create web-based applications using JSP or Portal infrastructure. Wrote the first Style Guide for BEA web-based applications, providing guidelines for interaction patterns and look and feel of all elements used with the console applications. Created interface elements for Eclipse based application. Designed interfaces for Business Process Management, part of the WebLogic Integration Suite. Worked with marketing and engineering to produce images that reflected the company’s branding while adhering to the needs of engineering. Created interface for XML Data Transformation tool. During my years at BEA, I created thousands of web pages, several thousand icons, and interaction designs for enterprise based software applications for both the desktop and web. | |

Co-founded Web Diner Inc. in 1995. Created graphical elements including icons, splash screens, Flash animations and illustrations for software and web sites. Managed projects ranging from skinnable MP3 interfaces to creating online communities. Worked with engineers and marketing to create the layout, look and feel of both internal and external web sites. Clients have included BEA Systems, AOL, Cisco Systems, Neopost and Adaptec.
Founded the Web Diner Forum in a partnership with America Online. Created and managed an online community of small business owners that generated intense user loyalty. Designed the branding, look and feel and content. The forum was responsible for teaching hundreds of thousands of small business owners how to create their own web sites. Managed a staff of 20, who taught classes, wrote tutorials, and answered questions about creating graphics, learning HTML, and e-commerce. The forum grew from 10,000 unique visitors in its first month to over 1 million unique visitors per month in 1997. | |
